Easter Morning

The girls see their goodies

Hunting the eggs that the bunny hid

What's in this one?

My beautiful little ladies

At Church...Cinderella did not want to participate

Me and my Dad

Checking the Rabbit hole goodies

Hot Dog, ring pops

Oh yeah, the goodies

Cinderella's find
It was a really good Easter morning. The bunny came, the church service was holy, eggs were hunted, and number one...He is Risen!

Jesus Christ is Risen Today!

What a glorious day. God is so good and we are blessed. I am so grateful for Pink Dog. This girl is destined to Heaven. Thanks to her I was able to share Holy Week with MY Daughter. She made sure that we made it to Holy Thursday and Good Friday services at our church. This is the first time since becoming a Mom that I have been able to attend. With two small children, it is very difficult to make late evening services, but she and I made it this year. It was what I had dreamed about all those years ago when Pink Dog was just a dream. Just me and my girl praising God at the Holiest time of the year. Hopefully in a year or two I will have both of my blessings attending with me. I am so very blessed!

The Rabbit Hole

First you must dig the hole...he uses a pick or shovel now instead of the "big spoon".
I love this about my Dad. When he was a child, his Mother would tell him the day before Easter, "Charles Harry, you better go get the big spoon and dig you a rabbit hole so that that Rabbit will leave you some eggs". My Dad said he would dig a fine hole and then decorate it with grasses and all the beautiful flowers that he could find. He just knew that if he made it really pretty and decorative, that the Easter Bunny would leave him some treats. He always got really pretty boiled brown eggs and a chocolate rabbit. Since he is now 75 years young I love that he is carrying on the tradition with my girls.

Next, you get grass and fill the hole

Here the girls are adding their grass

Then you must find other grasses and flowers to decorate the hole

Working hard

Now for the decoration

This is Pink Dogs'...she goes for the more eclectic look

Cinderella follows her mother's retentive ways and makes hers just perfect

Once the decorating is done you must put a bucket over the hole to keep the animals away from it

Then they got goofy.
I just love traditions!

We saw him at Wally World

I think she likes him

Too Cute!

Cinderella and I went to Wally World to get supplies and guess who was there. Yep, the bunny. Cinderella at first said it was him and then she decided that it wasn't him. It was just a helper. Because you see, the Easter Bunny is way too busy today filling baskets to be at W-M. True I suppose. Anyway, it was neat to get her photo with him.
