Water Fun, the 2nd party

This is the second party of the day for Cinderella. She LOVED climbing up and sliding down. These are some of the children that she knows from daycare.

Up she goes...

Then down...

The reward; the pool at the bottom.

The Horse Party

Love the pink boots with attitude.
Cinderella was invited to a Cowgirl birthday party. She had a blast and was able to do a lot of fun things. This was her first time to ride a horse.

Talking to the bunny and the chicks.

She chilled with the birthday girl

She looked out at the pasture and checked out the horse in true cowgirl style

Here she is after her first ride

The first time riding Mater

She made a stick horse

She checked out the roosters and hens that kept cockadoodle doing

She tossed around the horseshoes

She had stick horse races

It was a great time.

How Funny is This!!!

Seriously, how funny is this?
My 6'4" big brute of a brother and I got our hair done at the same time. I love that I was able to capture this moment. Here is Mr. Attorney at Law reading his Cosmopolitan while his hair is wrapped and being processed under the dryer, all the while wearing his animal print cover. I love that I was there and captured it all.

It looks like he is into a really good story.
He said he used to read Cosmopolitan all the time years ago when he went to the salon. He was able to keep up with what girls want. He said it came in handy when dating - ha! Gosh I love this guy.

Dance Classes

Pink Dog takes her lessons very seriously

I love how the girls look here

Is it just me or is "A Chorus Line" coming to mind?

Sweet Angel

Loving this move

The dance recitals are only a few weeks away and I was able to see both girls dances at their class this week. They both did terrific. I think their recital will be wonderful. This is Pink Dog's fourth year and Cinderella's second.

Best Friends

This is Pink Dogs Best Friend C. They totally love each other. I am so happy that my girl has a close friend. C came to Pink Dogs school about 6 weeks after first grade began. It was the beginning of a beautiful thing. They have so much in common. They are both the tallest girls in first grade. They both have black hair. One was born in China and the other has a Chinese father. Their birthdays are only 6 days apart. How wonderful that God placed in my girls life a friend that she can relate with so well.

Here Pink Dog is letting C borrow her gloves at the ice skating rink. C was so happy to get them because she was freezing. We are hoping that we can get the girls together a lot during the summer and hope that they get in the same class again for second grade. C was very shy when she arrived at her new school. Pink Dog has lots of friends, but didn't have that one special friend yet. They both needed each other.

That Nani

This is what I walked in to see.

Is there a Dr. in the making?

Poor Nana...she lets the girls do anything they want. Or, had she just run out of energy to tell her no. Pink Dog decided to play dentist the other night and her Nana let her. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I'd see this. It never would have crossed my mind to do this as a child either.

Ice Skating

Pink Dog was invited to an ice skating party. This is something she hadn't done before. Here she is using the trainer. She and her friend were both giving it a try.

Whoa, not too steady yet.

Okay, this is getting better.

Hey Girl, yeah, I'm just hanging out at the ice skating rink.

Gee that was fun!

Papa in the Hospital

Memorial Day weekend was not what we expected. We ended up spending 4 days in the hospital checking out my Dad's heart. On Saturday morning he was cutting bushes at our house when I noticed that he didn't look right. He was having heaviness in his chest. I had him sit down and told Pink Dog to get a cold, wet washcloth. I went inside and called my Mom. She came right over and took Daddy to the hospital. For those that know my Dad, know that he was not too happy about that. Anyway, they admitted him and ran all kind of tests on him, gave him shots in his stomach to thin his blood, etc. On Tuesday morning he had an angioplasty??? They went up the main artery in his leg to look around. They only found 3 small blockages, but nothing major. Thank you God!!! He is being treated with medicine. He is in great shape and very healthy. They had a hard time finding anything wrong with him. I have the same problem.

The girls adore their Papa. We visited him every day. They had to know that their Papi was OK and he needed to know that they were OK.

As you can see, they are very comfortable with him no matter where they are. Papa is back at home now and recovering. We are praying for smooth sailing for a while now.

Graduation

My Goddaughter and me
(Not the best picture of me...and when did she get taller than me?)

Her family

What a happy night. My first little baby graduated from High School. Just yesterday she was born, and now she is leaving for college. What a joy she has been to watch grow into the beautiful woman she is today. I love her always and forever.
(My best friend since we were one year old is her mother. She is the lovely woman to the left of the graduate. )

Cinderella The Play

With the Godmother

The girls and I went to another local high school play. The show was more like the type that we did in High School, but the girls loved it. Since it was a Catholic High School, there was a Godmother not a fairy godmother.

The Court Proclaimer

Cinderella, Prince Charming and my Girls

Here they are waiting for the show to begin.
