Pink Dogs Recital

The photo quality is bad, but here's the best of the rehearsal photos

Nana, Papa and Cinderella waiting for the show to start

I know this is blurry, but isn't my girl just breathtaking...

My Goddaughter and Godson and my Star

After the show, Pink Dog was awarded lots of flowers and prizes

Pink Dog did a fabulous job in her dance recital. This is her fourth year dancing and by far the best performance ever. She really grew so much this year. It helped that her God sister was teaching her class. Pink Dog adores her and really looks up to her. I am so proud of my girl. She is rather shy and doesn't care to take too many chances, but tonight she shined!

Best Friends

This is Pink Dogs Best Friend C. They totally love each other. I am so happy that my girl has a close friend. C came to Pink Dogs school about 6 weeks after first grade began. It was the beginning of a beautiful thing. They have so much in common. They are both the tallest girls in first grade. They both have black hair. One was born in China and the other has a Chinese father. Their birthdays are only 6 days apart. How wonderful that God placed in my girls life a friend that she can relate with so well.

Here Pink Dog is letting C borrow her gloves at the ice skating rink. C was so happy to get them because she was freezing. We are hoping that we can get the girls together a lot during the summer and hope that they get in the same class again for second grade. C was very shy when she arrived at her new school. Pink Dog has lots of friends, but didn't have that one special friend yet. They both needed each other.

Ice Skating

Pink Dog was invited to an ice skating party. This is something she hadn't done before. Here she is using the trainer. She and her friend were both giving it a try.

Whoa, not too steady yet.

Okay, this is getting better.

Hey Girl, yeah, I'm just hanging out at the ice skating rink.

Gee that was fun!

Another Milestone

Pink Dog ties her shoe
We were at Stride Rite the other day and Pink Dog was practicing with the Tie Your Shoe book that they have. She is impatient and usually gets mad before getting her shoe tied, but not this time. She carefully worked to tie her shoe and she finally did it.

It is a process

Careful

Almost there

She did it! Yeah Pink Dog!

Cha Cha took Pink Dog Shopping

This is seven. I can only imagine what 15 will be like - yikes! Pink Dog has a passion for fashion. Since she goes to Catholic School and has to wear uniforms all week, the weekends are spent on her divaness. Her Uncle Cha loves to take her shopping and lets her buy anything and everything she wants. Oh if only I had an Uncle Cha! This whole outfit from hat to boots was purchased by him. This is only one of many outfits she came home with after their shopping. Cha says that all the cute young girls in the shops just adore Pink Dog. They have a blast helping her try on the clothes and then she models them for everyone in the store. Pink Dog and Cha both LOVE the attention. I am so grateful to my brother for sharing his time with my girls.

Good Gracious!
