Papa in the Hospital

Memorial Day weekend was not what we expected. We ended up spending 4 days in the hospital checking out my Dad's heart. On Saturday morning he was cutting bushes at our house when I noticed that he didn't look right. He was having heaviness in his chest. I had him sit down and told Pink Dog to get a cold, wet washcloth. I went inside and called my Mom. She came right over and took Daddy to the hospital. For those that know my Dad, know that he was not too happy about that. Anyway, they admitted him and ran all kind of tests on him, gave him shots in his stomach to thin his blood, etc. On Tuesday morning he had an angioplasty??? They went up the main artery in his leg to look around. They only found 3 small blockages, but nothing major. Thank you God!!! He is being treated with medicine. He is in great shape and very healthy. They had a hard time finding anything wrong with him. I have the same problem.

The girls adore their Papa. We visited him every day. They had to know that their Papi was OK and he needed to know that they were OK.

As you can see, they are very comfortable with him no matter where they are. Papa is back at home now and recovering. We are praying for smooth sailing for a while now.

Graduation

My Goddaughter and me
(Not the best picture of me...and when did she get taller than me?)

Her family

What a happy night. My first little baby graduated from High School. Just yesterday she was born, and now she is leaving for college. What a joy she has been to watch grow into the beautiful woman she is today. I love her always and forever.
(My best friend since we were one year old is her mother. She is the lovely woman to the left of the graduate. )

Cinderella The Play

With the Godmother

The girls and I went to another local high school play. The show was more like the type that we did in High School, but the girls loved it. Since it was a Catholic High School, there was a Godmother not a fairy godmother.

Last Day of Pre-School

Island Cinderella

Happy Girl

I love this look of hers

Sassy Girl

Rubbing the peanut butter on her knees...

Today my youngest daughter finished her last day of preschool. It is hard to believe. It has all happened so fast. It seems like just yesterday that I was bringing her big sister there for the first time and Cinderella had just been home from China for a month. I'm not ready for my baby to grow up. I miss her being that little baby girl, oh so much.
This preschool has been a great place for both of my girls and me. They are very loving and kind.

Cinderella's class did a song fest for the parents this morning. It was just precious. My girl sang and danced and felt so wonderful about herself. I just love that! It was also their Hawaiian luau, thus Cinderella's attire.

Pepe' le pew?

See, it really is a skunk.
(wouldn't you just die for her hair?)

Petting Flower

Ahhhh, sweet little skunk

Cinderella and I went to the Salon yesterday and guess what the owner has. Yep, a baby skunk. Cinderella and I got to see one up close and personal. The little one is named Flower after the skunk in Bambi. It doesn't even have its eyes open yet. Supposedly, skunks don't spray at this age. I'm glad she didn't have her "first time" with us!

Visiting Sue

Here they are looking at the Heron in the yard

Cinderella making herself at home

Pink Dog deep in conversation

The girls and I visited the new home of one of my friends last Saturday. Sue and I worked together until she retired. She is a lovely lady and her home is picture perfect.

The Jumpy Thing

Pink Dog and Cinderella LOVE the Jumpy Thing at the mall. They ask to do it every time we go. Here they are soooo excited about it.

Sorry for the poor quality of this photo, but it is the best shot I had of either of them. You can see the sheer joy in her face.

Here is Pink Dog coming down. Look at that hair. They both jump so high and quickly that it amazes me that they aren't afraid.

Pink Dog leaving the Jumpy Thing

Cinderella is always so happy when her sister gives her nice attention. She really idolizes her. It has been an incredible ride watching them become sisters and dare I say friends.
